Once Tempted by Laura Moore

Once Tempted is the 1 book from the latest series of Laura Moore, Silver Creek. As per usual the series begins with the story of the oldest son of the family Knowles.I truly enjoyed and loved this book, who wouldn't when it's about a sexy cowboy and a sexy city girl.

After a failed marriage Tess Casari decides to leave New York to try to forget the shame and the humiliation from her dead husband and his family. Heartbroken as she was Tess goes along with her best friend plan to be blindfolded in front of California map and wherever she puts her finger there she will move. She pin points a city in the middle of no were called Acacia and there she is heading to.

Ward Knowles the first born of Knowles family dedicates his life to expand the family business which included a ranch and a resort, after a broken engagement with a woman who wanted him for his money and never understood his passion for the ranch. It's hard for him to love and trust a woman again but that's about to change when he meets a shy and beautiful city girl who turns his world up side down.

Tess and Ward are such a awesome couple. I loved they banter and their tease. In special after their first meeting didn't go down to well for Ward.

"Oh my God! What have you done to my car?"
Turning the key she jerked it one more time.
"You ve broken it."
"If anything, I saved it. You been driving like that for long?"
"Hey, what you doing?" Now he'd opened her door without so much as a by-your-leave. Did he have manners?
"Trying to get you out of this thing you charitably call a car. It's still smoking."

It's save to say that Tess hold a grudge towards Ward for killing her car.

"Even if I didn't find you utterly unappealing, I make it a rule never to get involved with car killers or-"
"For Christ's sake. I did not kill your car"
"Gee, that's funny, because one minute it was running and the next-"
"It was not running; it was gasping," he corrected.
"The mechanic down at Wexler's Auto Shop wept when he lifted your hood."
"Because he was looking at an avoidable tragedy."
"I'll say. Try replacing the oil in your car engine next time"
Tess and Ward are trying to fight the chemistry between them but they not very successful and they gave in the temptation.

"You know I'm attracted to you."
She swallowed. "I know."
"So, are we going to do something about this thing between us?"
She could to this keep it physical, she told herself. They would be satisfying and intense physical attraction. There'd be nothing deeper between them. Nothing that involved her heart. She couldn't trust that organ. It had misled her so disastrously with David.
"I think we'll have to."
"Good to know"


Their relation changes very quick from just an attraction in something deeper and sooner or later they will have to face the past in special Tess. Will Ward be able to understand her and forgive her after he's been thru with something similar with his ex?

This was my first read of Laura Moore but that's about to change cause i will definitely check out her other books.Was a pleasure to read this book. Nothing better than a sexy cowboy and a beautiful city girl to choose to read when you want to relax.

The book is well written, with a good story and in special funny what makes this book a light and fun read. If you are a fan of Laura Moore or a first read you will definitely enjoy this book.

Raid by Kristen Ashley

Raid is the 3 book in the series Unfinished Hero by Kristen Ashley and as usual she delivers an amazing story as we are used to.

Hanna Boudreaux is sweet and cute and she had a crushed on Raiden Miller since she was 6 years old, but soon she will have to realised that her and Raid will never happen and to move on.

Raiden Miller is the town hero, an ex marine, he comes back as a hero but surrounded in mystery. Takes him a while to notice Hanna but eventually it happens. But the question is why after all this years? Did he finally realised how sweet she is or he is interested to get close to her for another reason?
I loved this book and i love the story and the plot. Raid was the typical alpha male as KA got us used to. A man hunted by nightmares from his career as a marine after he returns home, takes as a full job being a bounty hunter after one of his buddy hooked him with another bounty hunter Deacon.

From here we can guess why Hanna got under his radar and why he noticed her. Working a job for his buddy Knight and Creed, discovers her involvement and he doesn't believe that sweet Hanna has no connection with wot's going on and to prove that she is clean. Everything blows up when Hanna heard him speaking on the phone and she thinks he played her.


"You heard me on the phone" She visibly swallowed.Her shoulder hit the doorway to the back hall and she shifted sideways. Raid followed her.

"You came to the table and lied thru your teeth, right in my face"

"You told me you had a goddamned headache, which worried me, then you pressed tight to me, giving me your mouth and takin' it away, a bullshit bitch tease move I didn't know you had it to execute."

"I wasn't teasing you."

"What was that shit than?"

"A good-bye kiss.

"What?"

"Raiden, the gig is up."

"The gig is up?"

"Yes."

Hanna is hilarious,goofy, sweet and funny i laughed so hard when i was reading this. As they carry on arguing gets even more hilarious only KA can make you laugh when 2 people are arguing.

"Baby, it's jig," he corrected her.

"Sorry?"

"The jig is up, not the gig," he told her

"Seriously? You're correcting my street lingo?"

"Think that street lingo was the street lingo about 8 decades ago, Hanna. So now it's just lingo."

"Now you're giving me a street lingo history lesson?"
He lost patience with Hanna Boudreaux being cute.

"Why are we talkin' about this shit?"

After all this drama, Raid explains to Hanna how things are, and makes her believe that he is into her.

"You thought you were ending this earlier," he noted.

"So why did u give me the afghan?"

"I don't know. Maybe i was being my usual idiot and wanted to give you something to remember me. Maybe, even with what i thought you were doing, I knew you were partial good guy, what with offering to take care of Gram's yard and all, and i wanted to give you something back. The only thing that i had to give. Something that would keep you warm. But really, I don't know. I just.. did it."

"Glad you did it honey," he replied.

"Me too," she said.

But enough with the spoilers, you really need to read this book. Another fab book from KA which will make you even more addicted.

Are not many words that i can find to describe this book, just: AMAZING, SWEET, FUNNY and all the package that comes into a KA book. If you are a KA addicted you need to read this ASAP and if you not a KA addicted than you don't know wot you missing.

Country Mouse by Alexandr Voinov

I can't find many words to describe Country Mouse just 4 words: I FREAKING LOVED IT. This book let me speechless. I definitely  didn't expected to be so good, so i will keep this sweet and short. This books is FREAKING AMAZING. GOOD STORY. SWEET. HOT SEX. MESSY LOVEMAKING and the whole package i love in a book.

I have to admit when i was in the first 20 pages off the book and they started talking bout "wipe your ass red" i said to my self HOLLY SHIT NO!!! Yes, this were my exactly words. NO FREAKING BDSM!!! I was so disappointed but wot the heck let's see how bad is. So i carry on an and i am happy that i did it. I loved how they played and how hot they were and how Malcolm bottomed for Owen even if he was only a top. AMAZING. This will def get another re-read or even more.

If you like hot and messy m/m romance you need to read this book ASAP. So worth it.

Highlander Most Wanted by Maya Banks

Highlander Most Wanted is the second book from the series The Montgomerys and Armstrongs series and i loved it, such a beautiful and heartbreaking story that went straight to my heart and made this book one of my faves from all highlanders stories i read till now. 

The book picks up right at the end of the first one Never Seduce a Scot when the Montgomerys and Armstrongs goes to seek revenge against Ian and Patrick McHugh for the abduction of Eveline the wife of Laird Graeme Montgomerys. 

 The heroine Genevieve McInnis has been abducted by Ian McHugh a year ago creating the confusion to her family that she is dead and she suffers a great deal and lots of horrendous things at his hand. Ian is such a cruel and despicable man and death it's to little punish to him for wot he did to her. Genevieve is a strong and beautiful woman who doesn't give up easily and finds the power to carry on after all she is been thru.

 Bowen Montgomery is a man devoted to his clan, send by his brother Graeme to take charge of the McHugh hold and he is immediately attracted to Genevieve but confused in the same time by her action. When he sees how McHugh clan treats her he decides to protect her but he never expects to fall in love with a woman like her. 

 This story it's such a emotional ride, a beautiful and epic story with a good plot that i never see it coming.Sometime during the book i just wanted to cry my sorrow for Genevieve of wot she is going thru, and how bad she is being treated even by Bowen sometimes cause of his pride and dedication to his clan.

 I can't find the proper words to describe this book and i will just say HANDS DOWN to Maya Banks for creating another emotional and beautiful story. She proved again wot a good author she is and wot amazing story's comes out of her hands. 

I recommend this book to everyone who loves historical and highlander romance. It was a pleasure to read this book.

Rush by Maya Banks

I am thinking  how should i start this review. This was a tough read, i sat there many times and asking my self why the heck do i carry on? From the beginning this book sort of  screamed "Fifyshades Of Grey" to me but Gabe beat Christian Grey in what an ass he is.
 
   Gabe, Jace and Ash are three of the wealthiest, most powerful men in the country, used to getting anything they want and Gabe wants Mia Crestwell his best friend baby sister. Gabe is a pretty fucked up asshole i do not have other words to describe him. He is a pretty dominant not in the heavy shit but into kink like to control his life outside and inside the bedroom. After his marriage end up pretty bad and his ex wife trash him he never starts a relationship with out a contract to protect himself. He desired Mia for a long time but he finally decides to take actions and offers Mia a contract and a job as his PA for cover to her brother Jace.

    Mia had a crush on his brother friend Game since she was sixteen but her attraction to him only grew higher as the time passed. One night when she went for the opening ball for they new hotel to speak with Jace Gabe surprise her by kissing her and orders her to be in his office the next day and than he offers her a contract and she takes the contract if that's the only way she can have him for a period of time till he moves to the next contract.

  Like i said earlier Gabe is such a fucked up asshole i never read a book who drove me to fucking wall like he did, an arrogant ass who doesn't respect Mia at all, he just fucks her hard, coming even before her, fucking her mouth like she was a whore i just felt like screaming at him when he keeps saying that he knows how bad he treats her and how he can't control himself around her but he never does something bout it. In the mean time his ex wife run out of money so she wants him back and after a visit from her right before he is getting ready to go to Paris for a business trip with Mia she tells him some things which leaves him very vulnerable and to prove himself that he doesn't love her he will hand her to other man's.

I hate this part of the book i hardly could stand to carry on reading. It was awful, after he fucks her mouth he let's others to have they're way with her but with out penetrating her even his gut was screaming at him that was wrong that she was his and wot a coward he is he and gets ready to send them away, Mia screams when one of the men try to put his dick in her mouth and slaps her.

 When he realised how big he fucked up he start to look after her, treat her better and admitting that he loves her and he can never share her with another man. Wot the fuck is wrong with this guy?? Are u fucking serious?? You don't treat a woman like that doesn't matter the type of relation you have with her. You don't do this just to get it out of ur system cuz ur a coward and u scared. He never been kind to her or made love with her or treat her properly, he was only getting his pleasures.

 I loved how they relation progressed, doing normal things like a couple and how Gabe wants to prove to Mia that bondage can be sensual and passionate not something distasteful. I must admit i am not a big fan a BDSM but a little kink with pain free it's awesome just a little play between two people who likes to have pleasure in the bedroom. Shame that they been interrupted by Jace and Ash and here is the moment of truth and when the shit hits the fan.

 The end of the book was quite good and made a change for Gabe to suffer and crawl back to Mia to have him back. I am still annoyed with this book i waited so long for it and it was such a huge disappointment. I read most of the MB books but this one was a big let down. In my opinion this book doesn't worth recommended to any1.

Normally i don't really express my feelings about a book in this manner but this book tick me and not in a good way. This is just my personal opinion other people might like it and i don't wish to influence any one with this review.

Never Love a Highlander by Maya Banks

Never Love a Highlander is the 3 book from the McCabe Trilogy and in my opinion the best of this series. An amazing story with an amazing plot that had me captivated from the beginning to the end, i couldn't put it down till i finish it.

Rionna McDonald its a beautiful lass, wild and strong minded who prefers to dress like a man and fight like an warrior princess instead of dressing like a lady and act like one. She is to be married with Alaric McCabe to create an alliance for her clan and fight against the number one enemy of McCabe's clan Duncan Cameron but with a twist of fate and love she ends up marrying the wrong brother.

Caelen McCabe is a man hunted by the mistakes of his past and will do everything in his powers to make it right to his clan even if he has to marry, when he took a vow never to trust a woman again.

This book has the perfect blend: romance, passion, honor and duty.

"I've never known such a fire and sweetness," he said behind clench teeth.
"You are a temptress, wife.'Tis the truth you kneel at my feet, but 'tis I who am for practical purpose at yours."

I loved everything about this book: the story, the plot, how strong minded Rionna is but full of honor, doing her duty and wot was best for her clan.
Caelen is a hard man and grumpy who scowls most of the time but sweet temptress Rionna makes him crazy desiring her and makes him change his mind.

This story was so well written, Maya Banks lets me speechless how to describe her highlander books, they just gets better and better. The love scenes were so sweet and HOT that made me droll and be jealous of Rionna. It's been ages since i read such a hot book. I just didn't want to end.

If you haven't read this book till now you need to start it ASAP. Will so worth it.
