Double Dealing: A Loveswept Classic RomanceDouble Dealing: A Loveswept Classic Romance by Linda Cajio

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Double dealing is a very sweet story, and a good plot i could say as i never guessed till at the end when was revealed.

The book begins when Jed tries to sneak into Barkeley estate to speak with Merriman Barkeley the owner, to convince him to go thru with the deal to sell the estate to the company he works for. But he is in for a surprise when instead of him he finds his childhood friend Rae, Marrimam's niece and the new owner of the estate.

When Rae turns down his offer to sell and Jed is not backing down, Rae comes up with a brilliant plan. To kidnapped Jed. Soon she realized wot a big mistake she made, so she decides to release him but Jed has others plans and he wants to stay kidnapped.

I normally don't read this type of books, not enough steamy or complicated but i had fun reading this one. Simple for the reason that it was really funny and a very light read.

Overall this book was a good read, i was pleasantly surprised how much i enjoyed it and if you are in a mood for a light read this is the perfect book.

Falling for the Backup (Assassins, #3.5)Falling for the Backup by Toni Aleo

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 Stars

Falling for the Backup is a novella in the Assassins series and i enjoyed it lots, more than i expected to be honest. When i requested this book i really had doubts if i would like it or not in special cause i couldn't finish the previous book in this series, but now i am very glad that i requested it.

Jordan is a hockey player in a big team but at the moment he goes thru a shitty period of his life, quite insecure and i have to say i loved his insecurities. They touched me deeply. One of the reason being, that most of the time a sport man is quite cocky and arrogant but not him. And that made me adore him even more.

Aynslee the heroine of this book it's just amazing. She is a teacher, very sweet and funny, sexy and confident, quite sassy, but the most important thing she is very honest and has the whole package to make her the perfect heroine when you read a book.

My thoughts.

I really enjoyed reading this book, was such a fun read. One thing I like in a book is to feel chemistry between the characters and they had plenty of it. They really make a nice couple. Wot was different in this book is that the heroine chases the hero and not the other way round and makes a nice change sometimes.

Even if i am not a big fan of novellas cause of their length, this one was really good and you won't be disappointed if you decide to give it a go. Overall this novella was a good read and i had fun doing it.

Devlin and Garrick by Cameron Dane

Blurb

My Rating: 4 out 5 Stars

Devlin Morgan and Gradyn Connell have one thing on their minds when they meet in a bar one Friday night in San Francisco. One good, hard fuck.

After the hell he’s been through, Gradyn knows the young man sitting at the end of the bar--with his sweet nervousness and beautiful face--is just what he needs. And Gradyn has absolutely no problem getting up to say hello.

Devlin knows inviting muscle-bound, tattooed Gradyn to his motel room is the riskiest thing he’s ever done, but there’s something in the man’s warm green eyes that tells Devlin everything will be all right.

One explosive encounter in Devlin’s motel room is the plan. Only, it turns out one hot fuck isn’t enough for either man. Dinner afterward leads to another round in bed, and what follows is a weekend together that stirs more emotions than either Devlin or Gradyn ever expected to feel.

Fast forward five years. Devlin has never forgotten Gradyn but he has moved on with his life. That is, until he walks into his sister’s workplace and comes face to face with the man from his wild weekend in San Francisco.

Except, this man is calling himself Garrick Langley. This man is a shell of the man Devlin remembers and hardly looks like the same person. And the biggest kick in Devlin’s gut? This Garrick Langley pretends he doesn’t know Devlin at all.

No. Fucking. Way.

Devlin doesn’t care what this man looks like or that he has a new name. Garrick Langley is Gradyn Connell, and they both know it. Devlin is a lot more secure in his own skin now, and he wants answers. This Garrick had better look out because Devlin won’t stop until he uncovers every one of Gradyn’s secrets.

Note: This title contains male/male acts of loving, including oral, anal and rimming. Also includes scene with mild bondage and spanking.

Devlin and Garrick it's the 2 book in the Seeking Redemption series and i truly enjoyed it. Such an awesome book with a good story line and plot, sweet, intense and very, very HOT. It's been ages for me since i read an m/m book with such great, intense, dirty and sweaty sex scenes.

Wot i loved the most about this book was the chemistry between Devlin and Garrick. To actually get properly into a book i need to feel the MC's connection and connect with them and Cameron Dane did an wonderful job with this one.

When i read a book i normally like to guess the plot but that did not happened in this case. (view spoiler)

Devlin and Garrick are really awesome. They both sweet, sexy, intense and with there feet planted on the ground. Devlin it's a bit shy as well in special when they meet for the first time (view spoiler) and Garrick comes across more as an alpha male (view spoiler) but you have to wait till you meet the real Garrick and form your opinion about him.

Why this book it's a 4 stars for me and not 5

So you probably wonder why i choose to rate this book as a 4 star if i praise it so much. My only problem with this book is that 30% or maybe more of this book are flashes from the past when the MC's remembers different situations. I did not liked this at all. It really did my head in. I am not a big fan when i read a book to have so many flashes from the past. But that's just my opinion, this book would've been even more great with out them.

Overall this book it's a great read and you won't be disappointed if you choose to do so.

Every Move He MakesEvery Move He Makes by Barbara Elsborg

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I wish i could rate this book higher and i wish this book end it as it began but unfortunately that did not happened.

I am not quite sure why this book did not worked out for me, in special cause has the right ingredients to make it a winner for me: MI6, russian spies, sexy guys, hot sex but something didn't really add up and i am not sure wot exactly. I just feel that something was missing but i can't put my finger on it to pin point what or were exactly it went wrong.

As the action in the book it's based in UK, mostly in London, when you add MI6 into the contest made this book even more tempting to read it. One of the reason being, i live in London and i love it here and i enjoy everything wot has to do with MI6, i think being an agent for MI6 sounds more sexy than FBI and CIA but that's just me.

The character's had nice chemistry, the story and the plot was good as well and let's not talk about sex, that was really awesome but in a way i felt the book was rushed at one point and in the same time a bit too long.

But overall this book it was an enjoyable read and this is just my opinion and how i felt about it, other people might love it and will be a shame not to give it a go.

Not My Spook! (Spy vs. Spook, #2)Not My Spook! by Tinnean

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 stars

I really wanted to like this book and i tried too, but the book it's an absolutely mess the way it's written. I had the same problem with the 2 book in this series as i did with the first one, to repetitive.

Such a shame cause the subject and the plot are really good but the book it's still quite enjoyable. It's like something pulls me towards it to go and find out how Vince and Quinn's story will end.

Houseboat on the Nile (Spy vs. Spook, #1)Houseboat on the Nile by Tinnean

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I was looking forward reading this book. I can't say it's bad cuz it not but the writing it's all over the place and so repetitive. My main problem is that the author keeps repeating the points of view from each character and half of this book it's so unnecessary.

For example you will read first Vince point and 50 pages later you will read the same thing again but from Quinn's point and not a lot of changes cuz is nothing else knew to find out and that's not all, the author will go back and like 3 chapters behind and i just didn't understood why he will do that. I have to say this is the first time i read this kind of book and hasn't really gone well for me. A the beginning i was very confused and took me a while to actually understand wot was going on and i found that pretty disturbing.

In my opinion this book needs a good clean up from a good editor and make the author do small changes like not dragging this book so long when is not necessary and to stop skipping so much between the teh characters point of view. I would loved not to read the same thing again and again and the points from the characters to be more often and to be one after the other and a bit more often.

I am not sure if i make sense of wot i am saying but i am a bit annoyed cuz this could've been such an amazing book.

Overall the story and the plot are quite good. I love the chemistry between Vince and Quinn, they really hot and the sex is really amazing as well.

One Fine Fireman (The Bachelor Firemen of San Gabriel, #0.5)One Fine Fireman by Jennifer Bernard
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

One Fine Fireman is the first book from the series The Bachelor Firemen of San Gabriel series and i liked it.

Kirk, aka Thor, one of San Gabriel’s infamous Bachelor Firemen, loves Maribel for 6 years but he never had the courage to say nothing to her in special cause she is engaged with a top notch photographer but around her he can't say more than 10 words.

Maribel works as waitress at the cafe from the town Lazy Daisy, has a 11 year old son Pete, and is engaged with Duncan a famous photographer which she meet at a gallery opening and she thinks it's the best thing to do for her son to marry Duncan opening new doors for him by moving to New York.

I liked the first half of the book and how the story was developing in special making Kirk so shy when he was a good looking guy with a body who looked ready to eat and lick all over and that Mariel liked Kirk but she was thinking at her son first to do what's best for him in special after his father left her when he find out she is pregnant.

In the second part of the book i felt that the story moved to fast and to quick for my liking, to much action in to less pages. Her son Pete rebelling against her wedding with Duncan and his friendship with Kirk, finding out that Kirk had cancer, her break up with Duncan and the cherry from the cake is that he moves to Alaska to protect himself against the cancer to come back.

Overall a quick light read and enjoyable.

Beauty from Surrender (Beauty, #2)Beauty from Surrender by Georgia Cates
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 Painful Stars

Beauty from Surrender is the second book from the series Beauty by Georgia Cates, and by far it wasn't wot i expected. I absolutely loved the first book of this series and i am very sad that i didn't like the 2 one as well.

The Blurb

How do you move on when he’s every song you sing?

After Laurelyn Prescott walks away from the love of her life, she returns to Nashville to pursue the only dream she has left. Determined to find a distraction from the pain of losing Jack Henry, she immerses herself in her music. But with her old life comes old acquaintances and new expectations. When Laurelyn refuses her record producer’s outrageous demands, she finds herself without a career—until an unforeseen opportunity presents itself. From there it’s a rocket ride straight to the top where Laurelyn finds the success she’s always dreamed of. Will it be enough to bring her the happiness she so deserves, or will the absence of Jack Henry leave her wanting more?

Jack Henry McLachlan never expected to fall in love with Laurelyn Prescott—but he did. After he foolishly let her slip through his fingers, he spends three months searching for her, but their reunion doesn’t come easy. The woman he finds isn’t the same one who drifted away without a goodbye. No longer an insecure girl on an Australian adventure, this Laurelyn is a successful musician with a promising career. Her dreams are becoming a reality, and Jack is terrified his American girl won’t have a place for him in her new life. With only a month to convince her otherwise, will it be enough time to make her visualize a life beyond the glitz and glamour, a life that includes him?

My Thoughts

I never thought i am going to say this, but my problem with this book is that It had way to much sex. Can you believe it??? I can't even believe it yet. Is nothing more what i like the most in a book than great sex, and lots of it, but this was a bit OTT, it wasn't sexy anymore.

Another big issue for me it's was how much Jack Henry swears most of the time. Yeah, i know a man it's sexy when gives you a good shag and speaks dirty in the same time but this wasn't sexy anymore, it was just straight vulgarity.

In the second book of this series i couldn't find either that amazing connection and chemistry between Jack Henry and Laurelyn, the connection that blew me away in the first book.

I really wanted to like this book, and i struggled to finish it, but this just wasn't my cuppa and i am really sad that i didn't love it as i did with the first book of this series.

Flirting With Disaster by Ruthie Knox

4 Heartbreaking Stars

Blurb

In the latest eBook original novel in Ruthie Knox’s scorching-hot Camelot series, a no-strings fling looks an awful lot like falling in love—or flirting with disaster.

Fresh out of a fiasco of a marriage, Katie Clark has retreated to her hometown to start over. The new Katie is sophisticated, cavalier, and hell-bent on kicking butt at her job in her brother’s security firm. But on her first assignment—digging up the truth about the stalker threatening a world-famous singer-songwriter—Katie must endure the silent treatment from a stern but sexy partner who doesn’t want her help . . . or her company.

Sean Owens knows that if he opens his mouth around Katie, she’ll instantly remember him as the geeky kid who sat behind her in high school. Silence is golden, but he can’t keep quiet forever, not with Katie stampeding through their investigation. It’s time for Sean to step up and take control of the case, and his decade-old crush. If he can break through Katie’s newfound independence, they just might find they make a perfect team—on the road, on the job, and in bed.

Includes a special message from the editor, as well as excerpts from these Loveswept titles: How to
Misbehave, Along Came Trouble, and About Last Night.

My thoughts

Amazing, Sweet and Heartbreaking,

Flirting With Disaster Is the 3 book in the Camelot Series and in my opinion the best book of this series.

I don't want to spoil the pleasure of reading this book so i will keep this review sweet and short.

I really, really liked this book, an amazing and emotional story, awesome plot, hilarious, but most important so damn well written.
I absolutely loved Katie and Sean. The way they behave with each other,  at work and later on as a couple. I liked Sean imperfection and by that i mean his stutter. He was just adorable.

It's so refreshing to read a book when the hero is not the perfect alpha male. I loved that. He looks so sure of himself but not many people knows how hard is for him to hide his imperfection and in special to hide them from Katie.

Katie it's an amazing heroine, beautiful, sweet, kind and sexy. I loved her in special for the reason  the way she stands by Sean after she finds out about his stutter and how hard his childhood was with a sick mother who treat him so bad and who never truly cared about him. It was almost heartbreaking at some points to read about Sean and how hard was for him to deal with everything.

From the first page when i started to read this book i connected with the characters and i felt they connection and chemistry.
The books in this series just get's better and better and i can't wait to read the next book in this series.

This books is a must read and you won't regret it if you choose to do so.

Thank you Ruthie Knox for creating such an amazing book.

Complete Me by J. Kenner

Complete Me it's the 3 book in the Stark Trilogy series and to be honest it wasn't what i expected. I was so excited waiting for this book, as this series it's one of my fave after FSoG but i was so disappointed when i start reading it, that at some point i really wanted to put it at DNF at how frustrated i was with Nikki.

My thoughts

1.My main issue with this book it was that i couldn't connect with it at all, none wot so ever. And i don't understand how could i like so much the previous 2 books and that have so many issue with the 3 book.

2. My second issue with this book was the actually characters, i know that Damien was a closed case and he was protecting his past but this suppose to be the end of this series and i thought he will finally open to Nikki. I thought when you LOVE some1 you let them in and share your most deep secrets with them,to take the burden of your shoulder or maybe i am wrong, but he was hiding them from Nikki and being more evasive about them, more than it did in the first 2 books.

Nikki. Omg i think she was probably the most annoying heroine i read till now, even more annoying than Anastasia from FSoG, and when i say that most people will understand why i am saying it. She was living so much in her head and going round and round the bent that i thought: Is this the same heroine from the 1 and 2 book of this series? I was ready to pull my hair out how frustrated she made me while i read this book. It was just un-freaking-believeble, and not in the good way.

3.The sex scenes. Not that you can actually call this sex or love or whatever you wanna call it. From the beginning i didn't found and felt no chemistry between the characters, and i thought maybe cause Damien it's going thru this shitty period, and i waited and hoped to find again the spark between them that i loved in the previous books. But unfortunately that did not happened. They were shagging each other all the time, every time Nikki was seeing Damien she just wanted to fuck him. Every time they were arguing and fighting they were going at it again. Wtf?? I know this suppose to be an erotica book, and it's fiction as well but still it has to be a little close to reality ,just a little at least.

4.I know many authors has got the idea from E.L. James to write this kind of books but this had to much of FSoG in it, way to much. And i will give couple of example: The fucked up ex girlfriend who tries to kill her self, the car being vandalised with paint, child molestation and so on.

The list could carry on why i disliked at this book but i will stop here. I will just say that i am GUTTED cause i didn't connected and didn't liked this book. I was really looking forward to read it. But please take in consideration that this is just my opinion, and if you give this book a go you might like it. You never know.

Fire Inside by Kristen Ashley

Fire Inside by Kristen Ashley is the 2 book from her latest series Chaos Series and it was an ok read, but not to die for as per usual when i read one of her books in the past.

Blurb

Lanie Heron isn’t looking for love—no surprise, considering her last serious relationship nearly got her killed. So when Lanie propositions Hop Kincaid, all she wants is one wild night with the hot-as-hell biker who patrols with the Chaos Motorcycle Club...

For Hop, Lanie has always been untouchable. She’s too polished and too classy for his tastes. But when she gives Hop the once-over with her bedroom eyes and offers him a night in paradise, he can’t say no. And he doesn’t regret it when he finds that Lanie is the best thing that’s ever happened to him—in or out of bed. Now the trick will be to convince her of that.

I freaking loved Hop's and Lanie story. Who would've thought that we going to read Hop story and in special to redeem him the way Kristen did and let's be honest she didn't actually gave him a nice image in
She pictured him as a cheater and a bad boy, but not a bad boy in the good way, a bad boy in the bad way if you know wot i mean :))and the story of our sweet and beautiful Lanie, who suffered so much, she finally has her HEA.
I truly love this kind of book and in special this kind of book from Kristen. She truly knows how to redeem a hero and to give an fantastic happy ever after to a heroine who deserved it more than anyone else. Thank you Kristen.

As everyone knows till now, i am ADDICTED to Kristen Ashley books, i freaking love them and she is def my ultimate fave author, but this one it wasn't as good as her other books i read. And that's not cause of Kristen. In my opinion GCP is getting to involved into her books and cleans them. For example, like you have 2 version of a song: a clean version and a dirty version. Wot can i say, i love the version of her books which are hot with all details, the version of her books which are messy and all over the place, not the clean version of her books which are edited by professionals and kind of trying to change her style. If i haven't read Kristen books before i wouldn't know but in this case i almost didn't recognized her style. To me it was like reading a new author, not an author i love and adore and it hurts cause they changing her.

I gave this book 4 stars just for the reason cause it's Kristen book not cause deserved it, other wise would've been a 3 stars.

Overall this is an ok read, and i think this book is probable perfect for the people who complained in the past that her books are not very well edited. For them there it is. You got your wish. A Kristen Ashley book edited by professionals.
